Ngurratjuta artists learning screen printing skills
Exhibition at Talapi – Opening Friday 18 May @ 6pm
Talapi gallery in Alice Springs will be holding a watercolour exhibition accompanying the Namatjira theatre performance which will be held in Araluen on Saturday 19th of May.

The third of four video interviews conducted for the 2012 Next Wave project Impossible Plays. Impossible Plays is a performance/ video project that performs the fantasies of strangers. This video is an excerpt of one of the interviews on which the performance is based. The interview is between Douglas Abbot, an Southern Arente watercolour artist and Impossible Plays writer/ director Alice Williams. The video was recorded in collaboration with video artist Chloe Hughes and edited in collaboration with Sasha Cohen.

Coming up Soon: Ngurratjuta will celebrate the 9th anniversary of the Art Centre with a new short film showcasing current artists and art works. Many artists at Many Hands had the opportunity to watch a sneak preview of the film last Tuesday.

Artists @ Ngurratjuta are participating (every Tuesday) in the professional development workshop given by Brigida Stewart from the Batchelor institute.

Ngurratjuta will provide 88 art works to the Lasseters hotel
We are working on an exciting project at the moment. Ngurratjuta Many Hands Art Centre will provide 88 art works in total to the new rooms build by the Lasseters hotel in town. All rooms will have original artwork from local Aboriginal people, telling stories of experiences, people and their land.
