Tjoritja (West MacDonnell Ranges), NT
In this painting I depict the Gum Tree as symbolic to Australia. We are artists who paint landscapes and animals of Australia, for instance Mt Sonder, known as the sleeping lady, and Central Australian birds such as the black cockatoos. My family and I paint landscape paintings, a tradition from Central Australia and the Northern Territory. This Country, Tjoritja (The Western McDonnell Ranges) belongs to my great great grandfather. My ancestors inspired me to paint these landscapes. 20.06.23.
